I don't have much experience with dns but I am trying to solve an issue. I am not sure if this is at all possible.

I have a website at mydomain.com and have developed an application using google application engine at myapp.appspot.com
I have pointed to the domain ghs.google.com in my dns cname record and it all maps very nicely.

The problem is that there are some sites that are hosted on google app engine and are blocked by some firewalls, this results in all sites which resolve to ghs.google.com being blocked.

Is it possible to set up a dns server which would resolve ghs.google.com but at the same time hide the name address ghs.google.com from dns servers/firewall?

Any comments on this are welcome. Thank you.

No resolution till now, yet.

ghs.google.com for dns cname record is always blocked by GFW.

It infects many Google services, like Google Apps domain customization, Adsense for Domains.

You can use the subdomain assigned by Google to access your applications.
