Hi there,

I am in a bit of situation and wanted to ask your opinion on which is the better option.

The domain name that I am looking for is taken in .com and is being parked by a holdings company along with a whole

My keyword is a very strong name and consists of two three letter words, for example, 'onetwo'
Is it better to go with onetwo.tv or one-two.com?

My issue is that my service is also promoted offline. So, as most people know there is the issue of verbally communicating to people 'one hyphen two dot com' and also people not typing in the hyphen and going to onetwo.com (which is owned by someone but not being used currently).

My issue with onetwo.tv is that not many people know about it yet and there is still the issue of someone owning onetwo.com, however, it is easier to say than with the hyphen.

What are your opinions on which is the better option?

Thank you,

Richg

Unless your business is tv related, I would steer clear of tv domains. Might look spammy.

Have you considered making a fair offer on the parked .com? I would start there. If that fails, get creative:

MyOneTwo.com
OneTwoWeb.com
AllOneTwo.com
OneTwoGroup.com
...

If you go with the hyphen, you may end up sending most of your hard earned traffic to the parked .com non-hyphen version.
