Hello,

I heard one of my friends saying that there are companies just purchase domains at a flat rate of 15K if its oneword .com and 5K if its twoword.com if it does not have any '-' or 'e' prefixed? I have some domains purchased some time ago but not parked any where nor advertised to sell them. I would like to know the companies who can purchase such catchy domain names. :)

Thanks

I wouldn't really agree with this Garry.

If you have oneword.coms and someone wanted them they would have probably contacted you already from the Whois data.

Of course, the most important thing is what the oneword.com is. Hotels, flights and tickets are of course prime real estate and could be worth much more than 15k, but if your one or two word domain names are something unusable for a website or to obtain traffic then they may not be worth much more than the registration fee.

As for specific companies that buy them, I don't know of any that buy just ANY oneword.coms and I have been buying and selling domain names for five years.

Maybe someone else may know some who do.
