I just mean is there anything, like wierd Terms or Privacy with holes like on Google.

registered with a USA company, then got a email from a UK domain company, which I think is a little weird.

Nominet is the registry for .uk domains, so you should expect to hear something from them about your registration. Usually they will send you details of your password for their online services, so you can change certain details of your domain.

If you register as a private individual you can choose to keep your details private.

There is no charge, but businesses do not have this option.

All UK domains are registered for two years, no more, no less.

Nominet do not like people scraping their whois and have daily limits.

They have also been known to pursue people who abuse the data for spamming in court.

nominet are the best!

they send you certificates in the post,
and they are extremely helpful if you phone them up with any problems
