Trying to understand monetizing parked domains

I see Google offering a program with, for me, out of range minimum pageviews.

I see other ad programs where the domain must reside on their servers, don't much care to do that, I think.

I do not see ad programs where I can just put some code on my existing domains, wherever they may be, again I think thats so?

I also have not found a a thread here, in the library or anywhere else speaking to these topics, perhaps I've missed something? Gotta believe this has been discussed at length before, can someone point me in the right direction or explain an approach for small to medium traffic parked domains.

There are other domain parking providers that allow you to keep your domain on your nameservers and "forward" to the parking provider by means of a redirect or frames.
