I am planning to start a e commerce website for website designing services, seo services, marketing service, content writing. So what i want to ask you is that i can start the business only after about 2 years. So should i register a domain now itself and add some small content once in a month to it so the domain gets AGED once i ACTUALLY start my business by completely rebuilding my website?
What do you people say? Is it a good idea?

Two thoughts:

1. Longevity is a good thing.
2. You have protected your domain name of choice.

Laying groundwork NOW will pay off later.

Definitely, you're entering a competitive widget market and you will need all the Google love you can get plus a bit of Yahoo! and Live.

Be sure that your title bar and meta tags reflect the words/phrases you will be targetting plus your on page content does as well otherwise you will not be using it to your best advantage.

Why must you wait two years?

Whenever I think of a neat domain name and I find it's free I usually register it.
