Hello.

Is there any way I can check what is the worth of my domain name? I feel it is a great domain. <snip>

Thanks

Hi Gary and welcome to WebmasterWorld. Please take a moment to read the following:

Your post suggests that you're excited about your new venture into domaining. If I'm right then you would do well to read deeply into the posts in this forum and read this thread, about how to evaluate domain names: [webmasterworld.com...]

Proceed slowly in choosing domain names. Don't go on a buying spree until you've spent hours and hours and hours reading about domaining.

To answer your question directly the answer is "no", there is no formula for pricing domain names. There are guidelines though that give some indication of value.

I'd suggest that you start by seeing if your domain has any natural type-in traffic, as that's one way to begin building a model for valuing the domain.

IF it's mostly a "catchy domain" then chances are that the domain's value is $0 to 99.9999999% of the marketplace and you will simply have to sit tight, paying renewal fees and waiting for someone to arrive who just has to have your domain name. You can post your domain name at various forums (not this one) and see if there's any interest, but unless you happened to have hooked the big fish that got away from everyone else (unlikely, sorry to say) listing the domain won't result in a sale. Catchy domains have a very small market - but don't take that as gospel.
