Today I did a 301 redirect from my yahoo store to my vanity domain.

Now when i type in my vanity domain, i come up with a adsense scraper type site owned by DOMAINSPONSOR

Anyone know anything about DOMAINSPONSOR?

I've run every spyware program i can think of, and nothing comes up. Also, it's happening on my sisters computer across town. It's odd though that it's working fine on my AOL connection.

HELP!

DS is a well-known domain parking service. AOL tends to cache pages forever so you may be seeing an old picture of what's there.

Did either domain expire? Did you double-check your redirect code?

the domain did not expire. I was in the process of doing a 301 redirect for my Yahoo Store. I wanted to transfer the domain from lowcostdomains over to yahoo. But, Yahoo said they don't do transfers (i thought that was a bit odd). But, they did have a thing where you could pay $10 for a year and it would allow you to control the domain from my Yahoo account. So, I did that, and changed the dns settings in my lowcostdomains site over to the yahoo dns settings. Everything was fine until later in the day, this domainsponsor page started popping up.

I think i have it pretty much solved now. I still don't know exactly what happened. I called lowcostdomains on the phone. The guy said he could fix it, and that it should be back to normal in a few hours. I tried asking him what happened, but i didn't really understand what he was talking about. It is now back to normal on 2 of the 4 computers in my house. I clear the cache, hisory, etc. in IE, and try it, and 2 computers are now showing normal.

I don't understand why some show normal and some don't, but I am glad it seems to be heading in a postive direction.

I'm just guessing here, but I think possibly lowcostdomains gets paid by domainsponsor to show adds on parked domains. For some reason my site changes hadn't propagated across the web, and was showing up as just a parked page, thus showing the advertising page. It's my only theory at the moment. I've just been a nervous wreck today.
