Hi,

In terms of rankings for a subject internationally, which domain extension would you pick. (.net or .org)

The site is humour related.

I suspect .Org may have a greater international appeal but I don't think that the .Org registry's efforts to have a global appeal is synonymous with "search engine ranking effects".

Also, I'm not really sure that .Org is well suited for humour as a general rule, so you might choose .Net.

Frankly, given what you state directly and what is implied (including that the .Com is already taken) I don't think the choice is going to be significant to the outcome of "ranking".

Use the .net if the .Com is parked.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld j10222!

Use the .net if the .Com is parked.

Or come up with a funny .com :)

In terms of rankings for a subject internationally,

.net if you cannot think up a good name, .org is globally recognised as not-for-profit/charity, well, ought to be anyway!
