ccTLD Registering Strategy

I'm looking into registering some ccTLD's and I'm trying to figure out what's the best approach when choosing a registrar. The registrar I've used in the past has some of the ccTLD's I'm interested but not all of them. I could look up the accredited registrars in each country and register that way, but that creates a management issue by having to deal with multiple registrars.

I haven't been able to find a lot of good information of what others have done in this situation and what's considered "best practice." any ideas?

We really shun "which company does it best" type threads as they so often serve as thin cover for promotional posts - at least on other forums that we all visit and see for ourselves.

What's a bit un-fun about our policy of shunning such posts is that the wide net also catches the fish that was just innocently swimming in the waters, i.e., was just here to check things out.

I can tell you that it's not that hard to find registrars via properly formed (and even poorly formed) search queries. Most of the bigger players - the ones that would fit your needs - also have the budget for Adwords ads and the like.

If you're planning to make a business of speculative regs then I'd suggest that you focus on shopping by price and once you've found the best prices then I'd look for signs of business credibility and longevity. Some businesses that offer low prices soon go out of business, so look for a company that has been around for awhile OR look for who/what is funding the cheaper registration company.
