I'm looking to register a .hu domain. I went to the central registry and found the list of a couple hundred registrars but:
- a number of the websites are actually down! :-/
- very few of them have an English language interface

Could anyone with experience registering .hu domains provide the name of a reliable registrar in Hungary?

thanks!

I've never used them however this is a very useful site for checking many domains:

Thanks HuskyPup !

I have found sites like this but really prefer to purchase from a direct registrar - that's why I was hoping to get advice on using one of the Hungarian companies.

Hello louponne,

Being from Hungary I became curious to see if there is really that lack of English language pages of registrars in Hungary. Checking a couple of them I got the same experience. They are not ready to serve international clients.

Unless you want to register lots of domains I'd go with what HuskyPup suggests. Their interface is English, and what might be even more helpful is that you can pay with credit card. I can imagine that Hungarian registrars would accept bank wires only - and that could cost you more both in terms of money and time.
