[edit reason] Per Charter please keep "hypothetical domains" as generic as possible [/edit]
My preference has always been to place the "nation name" or "city name" first and the activity second. So I'd first attempt to register Country+Travel.tld. It's my observation that most websites follow this approach, that is, City+Hotels, City+Doctors, etc. When I hear myself saying the website name it sounds "more natural". I'm sure there's a psycholinguist who could explain this . . aberration on my part. ;)
IF most of your interaction with the world will be via the website then I wouldn't be concerned about the hyphen. Hyphens become sticking points when oral communications, such as radio ads or telephone service, become important to the business.

country+activity is very hot domain, it is impossible to register now! countryactivity.xx, country-activity.xx, activitycountry.xx all has registered. only activity-country.xx is available for me,so i can register this one only.
i think i have to use activity-country.xx for my website, i hope i can obtain more good ideas to promote it and let customers remembers that, and do not typo wrong.
