I now running a bind nameserver that host my own domain, example.com that resolves to a static IP. This is already set up and is working.

What I want now, is to add a subdomain, dynamic.example.com, that would resolve to a dynamic IP address. Is it possible to use something like free services everydns or dyndns for it?

I am fine with IP updaters, whenever the dynamic IP changes it would be updated at the free service at everydns for now... but I am not sure how to set it up in bind...

As far as everydns go, its instruction are:

Make sure that your domain points to ns1.everydns.net, ns2.everydns.net, ns3.everydns.net, and ns4.everydns.net

So do I just put those as NS records in the zone file for dynamic.example.com?

I really have no idea at all why you'd want a dynamic IP, except for spamming purposes.

If you can give me a good reason then I'll send you a link.

Ah no, I already have a dynamic IP, I have that because that's a free additional IP that I can get from my ISP. What I want here is a domain resolving to my dynamic IP.

I already have my main domain name resolving to my static IP, now I want a subdomain of my main domain to resolve to my dynamic IP.

example.com -> static IP [DONE]
subdomain.example.com -> dynamic IP [Need help]

I have no ideas how you can relate this to anything but spamming.

Yea thanks for the link... well that site you send me is offers more or less the same service to the easydns services I referred to in my first post... so it doesn't really solve my initial question...

Thanks for trying to help anyway... I am still trying to get it work, I'll get back here if it works out.
