Un-registering a domain name.

Hi

Yesterday i found some good domain names related to Game consoles and ipod and i booked them instantly like companybrand, companyproduct etc..

now i am little worried is it legal can i create blog on brandx and prodcutx with these domain names...

Or should i mention in my blog like ( we are not associated with the companys company)...

Any comment appreciated... :(

We can't give legal advice here and I'm not a lawyer, but you may want to contact your registrar - tell them you made a mistake and see if you can delete the names from your account. Loss of your registration fees is a comparatively small price to pay for the learning experience.

Talk to your lawyer - but I can tell you that both companies are very aggressive about defending their marks.

With thousands of domainers in the world going through lists and snarfing up any name with the least bit of potential, there's a reason those "good" names weren't already registered!
