netmar seems to have really low prices, and I am interested in getting a new domain name, which will only cost me 5-10 dollars a month depending on which package i get. are there any drawbacks, or restrictions? Thanks a bunch.

I lease my dedicated server from them -have been for nearly 5 years now. They are located about 4 hours from me, and though we've become good acquaintances over the years, my only involvement with them is to send the check every month and to occassionally go buy them a steak dinner (a practice I heartily recommend to anyone leasing a dedicated server -NOTHING greases the skids better than steak fat, butter & sour cream). These guys are geeks of the first order, and the place is geared practically to 100% automation, there is no 'customer service desk' as far as I know.
BUT, if you're content to thrash around a bit at first and get stuff going with very little hand-holding, then I can't think of a better host.

Also, are there any restrictions or anything like that when using webhost? thank you.
klaw07 - either way on domains, register new or bring your own. As to restrictions, read the Terms of Service, my memory isn't that good. Not sure about "mature" content, no spam and no warez are about all I remember, sorry.
This site is on westhost...I mark them this way:
support: 7
uptime: 9.8
box quality: 8
features: 10
price: 10
bandwidth: 9
speed: 2-9 (depends on which box you get, there are some killer boxes and some dogs. this one is a 7-7.5)
"WestHost's customers are privileged to be offered unlimited traffic. Unlimited traffic applies to standard web documents (JPEG, GIF and HTML). All other types of files such as (ZIP, MP3, etc.) are subject to 3 GIG of transfer per month. Sites containing paid advertisements, such as banner ads are allowed 6 GIG of transfer per month. Any customer who exceeds this limit will be notified by WestHost to resolve the situation. Extra bandwidth is $10 per GIG."
I rate support at a 8.5-9 but my needs are far more simple then Brett's I suspect.
