Hi !

i do hope everyone is doing well !

i have a small question that troubles me some time now , i have 130 domain names parked with GD and one main domain name which i operate and promote affiliate products plus making some money with adsense, ( all the domain names are related to the main domain name and can be used to promote the same products ) im trying to find the best way to benefit from those domain names by linking them to my website, for example if i just create a simple index page for each one with the comment - example1.com has been bought out by example2.com - Learn more about example2.com .
Is this a bad idea can be considered as a spam because all the 130 domain names have the same comment and simply provide a link to the main one, will this be bad for my website ?

Thanks in advance

George

Point all domains at one hosting plan, then 301 redirect them all to that one main domain name.

Hi !

thanks for the reply , i thought about redirect all of them to the main one , but you dont think is better to get backlinks from all the other domain names as the keywords used in the domain names are related to my products,
if i simply redirect them i will get traffic only if someone type in the domain name which i doubt ever will happen, in case i choose to link them with the way i mention above will search engines consider it spam or bad linking ?

i see what you mean and extra backlinks from different domains could help the site, you could go one step farther then a simple index page and put up a quick blog on all of those sites with syndicated content, adsense and lots of links back to your site. Of course this is kind of spammy and will still take some work so its not appropriate for all sites.

See what Google has to say about a "network of related sites" when used to boost search engine rankings.

There are clear warnings in their Webmaster guidelines.

If the domain names are hosted with one company they will all probably have the same IP address or at least be on the same /24 range. When the SEs detect a whole pile of links from one address they will at best discount those links, at worst apply a penalty. My advice: don't risk it; or put some different content on each of them and spread them around a whole lot of hosts. Mind you, if these sites don't have backlinks of their own your main site will get little or no boost from them anyhow.
