How much does a 3 letters .com domain sell for these days?

I'm considering buying a 3 letters .com domain name, but I don't know if the price they are offering me is fair or not.

Two letters followed by a number. No special meaning I can think of

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mid to high hundreds to a few thousand for what you described, i.e., letters and numbers. There may be some in this category that hold higher value but most don't. I'd value it more if it wasn't only fewer characters/numbers but also conveyed some meaning.

It certainly depends on the letters. sex.com is going to be worth a LOT more than wlq.com. :)

2 letters plus 1 number means you better acquire the "letterspelling" of the number as well...

eg.. Letter+Letter+3.com & Letter+Letter+Three.com

A number of the big parking providers offer domain appraisal services that you could use. They'd be able to give you an educated / informed guide to what the domain should be worth.

As above, it really depends on what the mix of letters and domains are. Some might mean a lot to most (i.e. 3 letter words or abbreviations) but you can also find that the not so popular are actually very much in demand from only a handful of people to whom they might be very relevant.

I'd also suggest that 3 letter / number .coms are tricky business because, from experience, a lot of people selling them think they should all be valued at the same price as the likes of sex.com mentioned above. When in actual fact this is a completely unrealistic aim.

it's okay i guess... i wouldn't pay more than $500 for it.

btw - domain appraisers are scams - don't pay money for services like that. some are legit but 99.9% are scams. there are way too many open-ended and unanswered questions that factor into a domains value.
