Recently i registered a domain name for myself and am running a Win2k3 enterprise server at my home. Currently I can get to that server by Dyn DNS example.dynalias.net as I do not have a static IP address at my house.
The question is on ho wto set up stealth forwwarding, so users may access the site hosted from my home, but without seeing my dynDNS address, I'd like them to stay within the mydomain.net. i've heard this called mod_proxy, stealth forwarding.
the company i registered this domain with offers a service called Domain proxy service. is this what I am looking for?
I have full control over my DNS settings and any help will be greatly appreciated in this learning project of mine. thanks in advance for any help.
patrick
For this matter, even if i had a static IP address, how to I set up the domain so it pulls up the site at my home? I believe this is called a Cname record? Or is it A Name? I am paying for a domain only and not hosting.
As for the services, yes I've seen them offered, but I'd like to stay in the realm of free rather than pay if possible.
Thanks for the help
patrick
