I recently sold a domain name, let's called it MyWidgetStore.com, to a seemingly well-funded domain buyer. I also happen to own the domain WidgetStore.com which said buyer is also interested in buying.

Should I sell the domain name now or wait for buyer to develop the other domain first?

If you don't sell WidgetStore.com at all, couldn't you clean up on type-in traffic after they develop and promote the other site?

Did the buyer initially inquire about MyWidgetStore.com, and then find out about "WidgetStore.com"?

Or the other way 'round?

If the new owner develops "MyWidgetStore.com", and is "first in commerce" using the term "WidgetStore", could there be potential intellectual property concerns down the road?
