Using a company name to register domain names?

It's not owned by an individual

We buy many domain names for our company. Is it acceptable to simply put the company name in the registration field as opposed to a person's name?

Yes - the company is a legal entity and can therefore own assets.

Most registrars require you to have a named contact for the domains even if they are owned by a company.

Indeed. That's my question. We would rather not have a named person. Can we simply put the name of the company in there? I've noticed that many companies do this, but is it acceptible?

I believe the admin field requires a contact person but the owner field can be an entity

Generally, yes.

Instead of putting the company name, do what Google does. Use DNS Admin as the contact person.
