I recall guys buying domains like crazy with aim to sell them for big money; entile counties lost town names to dealers etc. Has this proven to be viable? I bought a fe win the past but no good luck with it.

In some respects it's the same as it has ever been: Do your due diligence. Take your time. Do your research. Stay with what you know. Show respect.

There are still bargains. There are always new trends and opportunities emerging.

Stay away from "famous mark" trademarks that employ unique words or words in a unique context.

Do a lot of shopping before buying in the aftermarket.

Don't show your hand when you are "in the hunt".

Do make specific cash offers when making cold calls (email inquiries, etc.) Most domainers have received to many email contacts that they've come to ignore simplistic inquiries.

Invest wisely and not beyond your means.

IF there was a tool that told you how to easily find valuable domains there wouldn't be any left. Use your head, not a tool. I've yet to meet a tool - other than the operations of "domain tasters" - that really gets the job done of picking decent domains.

There are still a few bargains but, in most instances, you have to know a good bit to spot them and to seize the opportunity.

Yea, fairly tru. I just discovered it are 3 big names incl. enom who are doing the mega hunting for them selling them on for big bugs.

Thanks
