Does anyone have experience with their Express vs. Certified Appraisals service? Was there significant difference in the results?

Farmboy, sorry to advise but for now - due the recent emergence of a variety of appraisal services, many of dubious quality (I've tried them) - we're not yet going to get into serving individual threads or requests for reviews, validation or voting about domain appraisal services. See the Charter for further clarification.

Why do we keep a lid on such threads? Mostly to avoid the grief of the unending promotional spamming: "What do you think about so-and-so's domain appraisal tool/service"?

That said, we're not going to leave you hanging.

Give me a few days to structure a "let's kick the dust up and talk about appraisal services" (again) thread - with some groundrules.

Folks, pending that thread getting started by me, I invite you to go out and collect some data. We may even talk specifics, as in specific domains, in order to get a sense of how well any of these various domain appraisal services are working right now.
