Multiple Domains DNS Issue

Set the domain to direct to path without using domain forwarding/masking

OK I'm new to this. I have 2 domains hosted on one account. I created a path for the second domain because I needed to install Joomla to that domain only. Is there a way to set the domain to direct to that path with out using domain forwarding/masking? Through CNAMES or DNS? I don't want to wreck my stuff completely.

It is hard to understand what do you mean under "path".

Can you show us an example?

Do you really have two domains hosted under one account?

Or are you trying to make-do with a single-domain hosting account and two domain names?

If you're trying to do this:

example2.com -> example.com/some/path

You will have to use a "masked forward". OK for hobby sites where you don't care about SEO, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. It's not a "real" forward.

A "masked forward" is really a web site that frames your content.
