The only research I have come across basically says that characters between the lenghs of 11-30 rank the highest in the search rankings. Phone numbers are seven digits because it was believed to be the maximum number of digits people could remember. Is there anything like this as far as domains are concerned?
Any response is appreciated.
Phone numbers are seven digits
Not everywhere ..where I am ( France ) they are 10 digits and within 3/4 years we will be going to 12 digits ..
UK is already at 11 digits ( maybe even 12 in some areas? ) ..
Memory for numbers etc depends on ones age ..and in certain circumstances on ones intake of exotic chemistry when younger ;)
Place names depends on geography ..Wales and New Zealand are two areas that come to mind that require one to be non neuronically challenged when typing in place names..as urls or otherwise ;)..in games of scrabble the two countries can use game sets which are more or less mutually exclusive ( as regards the letter tiles ) ..
Do Polish urls get more mistypeintraffic than others?
