i've just done a http redirect from my domain cpanel.
on doing a subsequent server header check i got a returned list (numbered 1 to 3) showing codes 302, 301 & 200 respectively.
is this normal? - the 302 causes me concern wrt google etc.

I'd be concerned, too. The simplest, safest way to do it is to look up the Apache documentation and use either mod_rewrite or mod_alias (much simpler) to do the redirect in .htaccess
