How many characters can a registered domain name? I mean good for web directory and for search bot.

Shorter is easier to remember. Longer, tough to remember and harder to enter. You always want to make it easy for people to visit your site. KF

Domain names must be at least two characters long and no more than 63 characters maximum, excluding the top level domain. The characters can include any combination of letters, numbers or hyphens. The first and last character cannot be a hyphen.
