I am about to buy a domain with a brand name in it.

The brand is something people do not think is an actually brand, but it is an actually brand trademarked by <a big consumer products company>.

Can I get sued for using it in the domain?

Thank you.

oops, just realized something. . . I meant to say AM I allowed to use {INSERT BRAND NAME HERE} in a domain name legally? . My bad!

Assuming you are an authorized reseller of whomevers products, then it woulld come down to their Terms of Use of their name and name of their products. I have seen sites do this, saaw www.acmewidgets.com, but they do not present themselves as being the actual company and genreally say on their site their an authorized retailer/reseller. Otherwise, it is probably no different than using the product name in an advertisment. Just my himble opinion.

You may be better off limiting it to the page title.
