use one registrar for my domains or many?

I have a small portfolio of domain names. Most of them were registered through the big g (of domains, not search), plus a couple with another registrar.
I'm planning to register about a dozen more domains. While I'm happy enough with the services of gd, I'm wondering if I should diversify who I deal with.
This is because of firstly the registerfly thing (obviously my registrar is in absolutely no danger of meeting that fate, but it shows the danger of having all your eggs in one basket), and secondly, because I hear stories of registrars pulling the plug on customers' portfolios rather than individual names, if there's a complaint or problem. But then the registerfly incident makes me go the other way. Maybe another small registrar will go under, and I'll wish I'd gone big.
Any thoughts or opinions on this matter from seasoned domainers (or anyone else)?

Pick one. Not a reseller. Preferably an industry leader with a favorable reputation for customer service, an easy to use yet comprehensive user interface, and all the other bells, whistles and goodies that you value in domain holding and management.

We're not about to launch into a voting thread so . . . let's not.

Pick one. Get it right the first time. Most of the bigger players will do a decent job. Sometimes it gets down to small details that are appealing to you so shop around by checking out the UIs and see if you can get someone on the phone in customer service - for starters. :)

I agree with Webwork. The best way is to go with the reputed ICANN registrars. Search around using search engines about the best registrars and at the same time offering cheap or affordable prices.

You might even consider becoming a reseller and transfer everything to your own shop - you have a complete control over it now. No worries.

Best wishes,

Pick one. Not a reseller.

Any arguments?

For instance, I have 2 accounts. One with GoDaddy and one with a WWD reseller. Why should I avoid this reseller?
