Purchase of SEO.com by WashingtonVC for $5 million as well as the formation of an SEO firm led by Dave Bascom. The company is formerly known as Web Targeted.

The curse of that domain will be it's failure to rank for the term SEO.

WOW, congrats, to the seller. It's not often you see b2b domains selling for such a high price.

It will be difficult to get the top spot, but it's a good challenge, isn't it? Although, do you really need good SERPs? What will the type-in traffic be like? Pretty decent, I imagine. Mike Mann had cash to spend after his $65m deal selling buydomains.com. This may be overpriced, though, since Business.com itself went for $7.5m. Good luck to him in his new online venture.

That sounds like a lot of money to me but good luck to seo.com and well done to the seller!
