Is it true that 4 letters DNS have great value?

Should I try to purchase one that just dropped (and this even if the 4 lettres have no meaning)?

And are they easy to resell or will I get stuck with it for a year?

I am asking this because I have spend some time tracking 4-letters DNS that have just dropped and it seems that many are buying these DNS, even if they are worthless in term of keyword. As soon as they drop, they get a new owner!

Any comments on 4-letters DNS?
Thanks

All of them have a value, you just need to find out by whom?

For instance there are a lot of Chinese companies who like to purchase Chinese city abbreviations plus their company name abbreviated.

For example, the city of Xiamen is known as xm therefore Xiamen Company Example may be abbreviated as xmce and if you've ever seen the length of some of the Chinese company trading names you'd know why!
