I acquired a domain from SnapNames a few months ago and I requested to have it transferred to my current registrar. As stated in an earlier thread, I had to wait 60 days before the transfer could happen (due to limitations or restrictions). It has been a little over 60 days (probabally 65ish now) and I just received this email:

<Snip - Sorry, be we avoid private email quotes by policy.>

My question is, it says <transfer to> "083" and I'm wondering if that is just a code, or is someone else trying to pull the domain from me (I have not given out the release code). Or is this a normal email sent to the receiver (it does look like this, too and I have the same contact email address for my registrar and SnapNames).

Added
I just checked with my registrat and the status has gone from 'You mist wait 60 days blah blah' to 'The domain has been requested' so it is looking like a generated email to the receiver.

But I want to be 100% sure, this domain is important to me and I do plan on using it in conjunction with another site I've set up (this domain will be an improvement on (domain) and information.

Thank you in advance!

I have consistently been impressed with SnapNames customer support. Therefore I strongly suggest that you contact them directly with your question. They typically get back with a direct answer within 24 hours.

OK, thank you. I sent the email to the suggested email address for support though them.
