A broker wants to sell my domain using TrafficZ

What should I look out for?

I have been approached by someone who wants to sell my "dormant" domain name for a 10% fee. He wants me to put it on TrafficZ, so we can get some stats to help with the sale.
I think he can get a higher price for it than I could, so I'm willing to pay 10%.
Is there a possible scam I should be looking out for?
Is TrafficZ a safe place to put the domain?
Could I loose the domain?
Thanks
Ric

Valuations based on traffic multiples tend to be a lot less than ones based on generics/brandability.

sniff sniff, something smells fishy.

He wants me to put it on TrafficZ,

Unless you have a high traffic domain Trafficz requires that you have a least 100 domains to sign up.

Is he planning on adding the domain to his account? If so, he will receive money for the traffic, either from clicks on the sponsored ads or through CPM.

Also, he may be from Trafficz and out recruiting more listing.

When he asked you to send the traffic to Trafficz, for monitoring, did he include a link with an affiliate number in it?

You can easily set up a parked domain with SEDO, or similar sites, and be able to monitor the traffic yourself and maybe pick up a little extra cash.

What should I look out for?

If you do decide to proceed, do not tranfer registrars. I would opt to use your registrars forwarding service.

Also, if he does sell the domain for you, be sure to use an escrow service for the transaction.
