Anyone have growth rates per year? I bet that china is a hot cookie, which holds great fortune.

According to your chart .net is the biggest! Yesssss! I own some very nice .net doamins....does this mean they are climbing up as far as value goes?

Thanks for the chart!

I've got the growth rate on every hoster in .com/net/org/biz/info/ie from 2000 to present. That's around 1142533 hoster histories. :) I've been thinking about publishing it all as either a website or a set of country based reports.

As of 01/Dec/2005, the .ie domain count was: 53694
As of 01/Dec/2004, the .ie domain count was: 42336

Those search figures are for webpages in the TLDs that Google has spidered. The problem with correlating domain counts to this is that the number of active domains in a TLD can vary from 60% of the registered domain count to around 96% in the ccTLDs. Of these, 50 to 80% might have websites. And an even lower percentage might have real, usable websites.

Don't get your hopes up yet. The .net tld is not the biggest - .com is. A simple inurl/site combination shows .net at around 207 Million pages. The same site/inurl check shows .com at around 4.190 Billion (4,190,000,000) webpages.
