Just bough a highly priced name (?) for $9

Birthday present from the domain gods?

In another thread I started here the mod commented "The domain force is with you young Jedi." Now I think it really is, on a complete lark I checked and bought (on my birthday) a certain 8 letter domain name. When doing a search on google the top result is for a domain seller that is offering it for sale, asking price $10000.

How seriously do I take that evaluation in light of former registrar loosing (dropping?) it?

Offer it back to the prior registrant for 50% off their asking price. Tell him/her what a bargain it is. If he pays you $500.00 you'll know it was a gift. When she resells it later this year for $10,000.00 you'll know you made a big mistake selling it for $500.00. ;0/

Alternatively, if it's a good, servicable domain build something on it and have fun doing so.

Make up your mind whether you want to get into web development, if not, be careful selling the domain - webwork's advice sounds good to me.
