Domain Transfer Experience?

What can I expect when I try to transfer my domain to anoth

I want to transfer my domain name away from <a domain reseller>.

I submitted a support ticket asking for a transfer authorization code in order to transfer my domain to a different registrar. It has been three days with no response.

What can I expect? Is there a prayer they won't hold my domain ransom and actually issue a Authorization Code or shall I start looking for a new domain name?!

My experience is that resellers are not very co-operative since they are losing the domain. Try to get the EPP domain from the registrar.
