i finnally got the pay from my first job here as a call center. . .i am thinking of investing it on a website with my name. . .the prob is another company has already taken the domain, but they are not using it, i mean, it just has those ads and a search box. . ..i have heard tht there are laws for getting domains not used like these. . .whts the procedure and wht r my chances? where do i go for this? shud i approach a lawyer? many questions to be answered. . .

Unless you can somehow prove trademark rights, then you've no chance of legally grabbing the name you want from someone else.

Everybody wants something. You either pay up or move on elsewhere.

Think of it this way: if you have a domain name you're not currently using and someone else wants it, would you appreciate that person using legal means to grab it from you?
