Official auction results: [marketplacepro.moniker.com...]

Below courtesy of Richard Lau: [auction.domainmanager.com...]

I see some bargains already. TranslationSoftware.com? To me that's a market poised to grow.

LanguageCourse.com? Another biggie and another bargain in my book. I can see me and all my geezer babyboomer buddies studying a second together online in the not so distant future.

Penthouses.com for $21K? Crikey! A realtor selling penthouses will make that up on 1/10th of the first fee generated from the first listing sold from a lead geneated by the direct traffic. FOLKS! Remember my mantra: "It's the converted lead value that best pegs the value that resides in a traffic domain."

Does passed mean they didn't get bid as high as amount shown, or the sellers passed on selling at said amounts?

Seller passes on chance to close a deal by lowering their reserve to meet the highest offer.

blogster.com - $250k. I wanted to raise my hand on that one pretty hard....but the uniques (9k) just weren't there to justify it.

All in all it was a fascinating experience. Watching Porn.com fall 250k short of it's reserve at $7 million or $7.25 million was very exciting.

The big surprise of the day for me, was the value of the .mobi's. I was stunned to see how high some of them went. It just doesn't seem like a good value to me, but hey - I'm still kicking myself for not bidding on a.gd at a mere $3000.... ugh. hehe

I have to admit, I have a few pages parked with Sedo and I like going to their auctions to check out how some domains are selling. Impressive with some of them.

I think they recently sold designerclothes.com for about $22K.

One example of a bargain example.xom I can't afford the $60 for it).

Hmm, interesting how different minds work, when I saw example.com, I immediately thought of a marketing firm doing pay per click campaigns...

I shudder to think of all the domains I registered on a whim in the mid 90's then let go a year later because I did not want to pay $35.....

Multiple meanings for an acronym = more versatile = more $$$ in the future. :)
