Hello iv got newbie question.
Will SE give the same weight on domain .info as on .com/.net when indexing?How big is difference?

In some cases it might be the same, however, I have no proof for this but but I beleive that .com wins on everything else usually.

I know by experience that .com usually ranks better than .net and .net is the next best extension.

I have seldom seen a very large respectable site with .info, it's usually used for MFA sites or temporary sites.

I'd say stick to .com or .net, .com is 100% full proof with both search engines AND human visitors.

Any other extensions unless very local like canadianhotels.ca or something are inferior to .com in my opinion.

It's not the choice of TLD that puts you in the basement.

If you have the authority of an entire nation, not just in the domain name (as in GPM's example), chances are you can rank without regard to the TLD you choose. The cited exmaple .info domain IS the offical tourism website for Spain, which no doubt lends a bit of ranking authority the Google sees things.
