Newly registered domain marked as Spam domain. Help!

registered new domain which has a bad history

I registered a domain and have been working on it. I am starting a new website now.

But the prob is I googled and found that this domain is in the blacklist / spam list of the major service providers (aol etc). <snip> How can I proceed and approach them to clear the domain name from their list. Is there a standard way of doing this?

If the domain is not cleared, all the registration mails and forgot password mails from my domain will be dropped!

Please help.

Most have systems in place to clear the domain out of a black list.
