Domain transfer

what is guardian?

I am trying to transfer a domain and in the email confirmation request they are asking for the guardian method that I used when I set up my contact method. What does this mean? The txt of the request is below. Thanks in advance for the help!

2. In line 0a, enter the Guardian method you chose when you set
up your contact record.

3. Based on what you entered in line 0a, make the appropriate choice
for line 0b:
- If you entered Mail-From, leave line 0b blank.
- If you entered Crypt-PW, put your plain text password in
line 0b.
- If you entered PGP, leave line 0b blank, but be sure to
sign the template with your PGP private key.

Since you're asking this question you probably should go with Mail-From...just leave the line blank and return the email.

To explain in a nutshell:

Mail-From - Authenticates the transaction by sending an email to the contacts email account. The email must be returned from the same email account as the one it was sent to.

Crypt-PW - Authenticates the transaction by password. Easiest method for webmasters.

PGP - Authenticates by PGP key. Probably the safestway to do this.
