Hi
we r currently developing a website. It has a global audience.
I wish to know

1. Is subdomains like membername.domain.com better or domain.com/membersname

2. Does it matter if I have chosen .IN over .com as it is going with our name.

Please answer.

1. If your members are going to have individual pages (like many free blog hosts) that are text content driven (UNlike many photo hosting sites), subdomains are the best way to go IMHO.

2. .in is a good ccTLD, but I personally would have gone with a .com. I live in New Jersey, though, and have little use for a foreign ccTLD. If you can still purchase the .com, I'd recommend doing so regardless of whether or not you intend to use it.

.com would be a better choice for a worldwide audience (by a long way). Register both and forward the .in to the .com
