Transferring Domain Name to OnlineNic

What's the procedure? And is Onlinenic down?

Hi, we have a domain name soon to expire with a UK ISP.
However, we also have an account with OnlineNic, where we buy domain names.

We would like to move the domain name over to OnlineNic, as it is easier to manage, and less expensive.

Does anyone know the procedure?

Also (and this is strange), we can't access the onlinenic website, neither from France or the UK! Pages aren't loading properly and it is so slow as to be unuseable - anyone else getting this problem?! We are using Internet Explorer versions 6 & 7.

Thanks for any tips

same problem ( tested the connection for you )..like rowing in molasses .. also from France ..

I couldnt get through the I&I interface ( to reg a .fr ) at the point of credit card entry ( at that point it opens an I frame to an https in Germany ..only it wouldn't ..all browsers refused ) earlier today ..maybe the issue is related ..it appears that for 1&1 depends where you are in France ..their tech in Paris had no problem ..spent two hours on the phone ..no luck ..

eventually regged it with gandi ..

hope you fare better

edit ..
BTW I tried with opera 9..IE6 and FF 1.5 .0.9 it opens but is like you said unusably slow ..with all 3 ..

whereas 1 and 1's shopping cart just wont work for me today with anything at the point where it tries to hook into the ipayment.de ..

Could this have anything to do with the earthquake off the coast of Taiwan? Could this explain the slow connection time from Europe?
Anyone know of a way around it?

Yes, it looks like the problems with Onlinenic are associated with the earthquake.

This is part of an email we received from them this morning:

They maybe under the DDoS attack and that would explain why their website is loading so slow,it was loading fine couple of weeks ago.
