It is a very decent 6 letter .com and I would feel must be in the $0000 catagory rather than the $000 and indeed could stretch to $00000 ...
as the person has only offered $200 as an opening bid, it doesn't seem serious to me, I understand starting low but is there a point 'way low' that is just cheeky?
I realise as the registrant I can be a little blinkered perhaps? but when I look at some of the prices on offer at Great Domains etc .. it's comparable in there I'm sure...
I just posted it with them to see if I'm right and they take it on board, but apart from that I'm not so sure what to do... guess I'm just throwing the ball in.. as some of it is obvious.. but if anyone has experience of selling domains at that price I'd be grateful for your thoughts or perhaps how it worked out for you..
If it's equal to the names there, it will be accepted.
If you feel the domain is worth much more, just politely decline.
I had a 4-letter .net that I would occasionally get offers of $50, $100, $200. I owned the domain with somebody else, (a project that never went anywhere) and didn't want to bother the other guy with these.
Then, one day, I get an email out of the blue: are you interested in selling your domain? We are willing to offer $xx,#*$! (mid-figures).
Domains are not a liquid market. And they are worth what the buyer thinks they are worth. If you've got a good domain, the right offer will eventually come along, and you don't have to do a thing other than make yourself available. No need to offer it for sale or auction anywhere. They buyer who is going to make the best offer has the experience to know that most good domains are NOT listed for sale, and will contact you even though your domain name is not listed.
Make sure the email in your WHOIS admin contact listing works. If you do use a privacy service, make sure it is one that forwards all email to you - not one that goes to the registrar who then decides if it is worthy of forwarding. (Best are ones that peridically generate a new, random address, for dodging spam. Beware that others basically drop most all email on the floor, and will only foward if you get some legal notice, purchase offer, etc. AND they happen to notice this...)
Lobo, I'm suggesting that you read the above thread, then tell us what you learned that might aid you in your determination of value and what remaining questions you may have in light of reading the thread. (About valuing aftermarket domains.)

These are coming from Afternic even though i'm not signed up to them...
I did a quick search on his username just on the off chance and came up with an afternic bid history...
Can't quite workout if he bought or he sold? but the deal went down for $7500 so he is used to dealing in those amounts...
At present I'm still inclined to ignore it until he gets reasonable or goes away, I'm not in any rush to sell...
