Hello everyone,

I am very new to website publishing and I am trying to decide on a good domain name for my travel site.

<Snip>

In choosing a domain name I am looking for:

1) “Spellablity” Is it easy to spell?
2) “Rememberablity” Can it be remembered easily or forgotten/remember incorrectly?
3) “Wow Factor” meaning is it interesting enough to get clicked on or is it lame sounding and going to be ignored
4) Keywords in it – How important are using keywords in the domain name
5) “Face Value” – How important is it to have a domain name that is descriptive of the website i.e. my current domain <snip> is not easily understood by those I tell it to. To me simply put, it means travels that are shared. I’m sharing my travels with anyone that is interested. I hope to attract others to share their travels on my site also. It is easy to me to interpret but I’m the website owner

Hi goerikgo,
Welcome to WebmasterWorld. Enjoy your time here.

What are you looking to do with this domain? Is it just informational or are showing ads?

Hello jbinbpt,

Thanks for your reply.

I am showing google ads and hoping to earn money by doing so.

Hello goerikgo and, again, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

I'd chose short, easy to pronounce, easy to remember and not too easily misspelled.

If you want a name that reflects the nature of your website's content then make the content memorable and the part about remembering "what website was that?" will likely come easier.

P.S. Sorry about the edit. Take a look at the Charter (linked at bottom of your first message) and once you read it I'm certain it will be the only edit amongst your next 500 messages. :)
