Hi all.

Does anyone know how SE's see C-Named domains. e.g.

name.domain.co.uk

Would the SE see it as a seperate domain to domain.co.uk?

excite -> yes
fast -> yes
av -> I don't think so.
google -> yes
Inktomi -> Yes, but don't abuse it because they flag clustered sites with similar content.

But it is all open to debate..

I never had a problem with cnaming, and never had a problem with any of SE's.
just make sure that you don't submit both site to an SE. Google especially doesnt like mirrored sites

At least for link pop purposes, google doesn't seem to consider them separate domains. That may just be based on the fact that my observations included identical ips as well.
