Hello there,
My website currently has one domain and is doing well in google. but it has a Dash "-"
so it looks like www.Widget-gallery.com
but i am about to buy www.widgetgallery.com
is this bad?

also the name of my business is called, "Widgets Big Gallery"
so is it alright to also buy www.widgetbiggallery.com?

and use a 301 redirect for each domain?

I do not want to look spammy, but i just want the best results for people who "misspell" my domain name!

Any ideas.
Thankyou.
Steve.

sounds perfectly fine to me, in fact i think you would be mad not to try and get the non-hyphen version :o)

301 the domains correctly, only promote one URL (dont submit other variants to anywhere) and IMHO you are good to go ;o)

for the record we do this with every domain we are serious about.

(as well as getting the other TLDs)

Yeah but im buying expired domains.. some have already backlinks..
Would a meta redirect be better in this case?

Cheers,
