I've relized something else tonight from reading a post by Dan Warner, which i haven't fully thought about before, i.e., "take the time to learn about the sales process".
One of my questions is "should I use an API system?"
Any and all pointers about being a reseller are welcome.

[edit reason] Edited for focus and to eliminate reseller references [/edit]
We don't allow posts that contain recommendations (or votes) in favor or against specific service providers. However, any member that wishes to add their insight about being a reseller in general terms is free to do so.
Keep in mind that anytime someone new enters the market that person becomes "the competition", so many people will be reluctant to tell you their secrets of success. The resale account providers should be making this type of info available (just not in this forum, by name.)
As concerns "the cheapest" domain prices <which I snipped> we don't allow such posts as they're an invitation to spam. However, it's easy enough to scout this info from the registrars themselves.
The problem with domains is that you really can't compete based upon price. Basically, domains are now "loss leaders" that are used as draws to bring in customers who are then sold other "value added" services, such as hosting, templates, email, etc. On that score it's also hard to compete since there are economies of scale that effect price.
Grim news aside I think - like everything else WWW - you might begin to gain some momentum by "thinking niche": serving a special community with unique interests or needs. In a world of 6 billion people a niche isn't necessarily synonomous with tiny.
No problem, thanks for the info, i found this site while doin a search for domain resellers and such. The first section i read here had about 8 different resellers recommended, in the domains section, and i started reviewing them untill i checked and noticed that post was in 2000.
I'm not trying to compete with anybody, god knows i couldn't, but i purchased a 12 $ a month reseller hosting plan about 8 months back and am starting small. It's cpanel and the works and i've only hosted about 16 clients so far and half of them are friends.
At the start i didn't think about having a default hosted by page, so when someone signed up, they bought their domain else where which is allways the case, and because i didnt have a default hosted by page(parked page) the adds for whom my hosted clients got their domain from, that add was up instead of mine.
I haven't advertised much but relizing how much work i should be putting into this to make any money.
I should have domains to offer, weither it's part of a package to draw more peeps or just to offer domains also.
I saw a site sellin domains for 9 euro for 2 years that's very cheap, maybe they're buying in bulk i dunno.
Someone's got to give me something to work with please :)
I'm getting tired of seeing my hosted clients going elsewhere for services i could have also.
Well shout me up anybody if you can help. <snip>
