Domain name renewals and single page hosting

Any registrars offering this kind of deal?

Hi,

I have around 60 domain names up for renewal shortly, all based around a central theme but each targeting a slightly different market. To date none of these domains have had any web hosting associated with them (i.e. there are no actual websites) but this year instead of just renewing them I'm in a position to promote a product using each domain. I can add web hosting to these domains through my current registrar but I only really need a single page for each one and it's just not going to be worth going with my current web host given their pricing structure.

Are there any registrars or web hosts who offer good deals for domain renewals plus a very small amount of web hosting (e.g. just enough for one page)? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hmmm . . . my promotion sensing filters are twitching . . . ;)

I'll put my "filter and whacking system" on hold for a minute and let's see where this goes.

In the old days they all provided a small website hosting package . . . the old days being when domain names cost $35/year.

Why don't you just get a VPS hosting package for $20-$50 per month. Then you can host 100's of domains there.

Webwork, no promotion on its way (not from me, at least).

DonMateo, thanks for the suggestion. I have a VPS account at the current webhost but it's used solely to handle outgoing mail for one of my sites (long story). I hadn't considered using it for these domains, it's something I'll look into.

Thanks for your help.

Over a period of time, I've observed 3 things:

1. Registrars tend not to be well-versed on webhosting.

2. Hosts tend not to be well-versed on domain name management.

3. Whichever one is well-versed on depends on what they've been "historically" focusing on.

Too bad I can't give specifics due to the charter. :P

Ditto on the VPS solution. This gives you total control, ability to install good stats/metrics software without having to go through a redirect, etc.
