Value and utility of subdomains of faux CC domains?

Any SEO advantage? Any way to optimize multiple sub-domain websites?

I have registered a number of sub-domains with a company that offers subdomains in the format <domain>.<official country code letters>.com which I registered as an alternative to the official CC TLDs, such a .co.uk.

I wanted to hear your opinions on the value of those sub-domains in terms of SERPS and as a way of marketing a commercial site.

I have seen many such sub-domains in SE results and it seems that the SEs treats them pretty much like any other domains. Is this right?

Is there any value or advantage to using multiple sub-domains?

Can anyone suggest what is the best way to link multiple sub-domain sites (in terms of SEO) as they are hosted all on the same server but aimed at the various respective countries.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Doublespresso.

I'm afraid the value of these domains would be negligible from any other .com name. The value of ccTLD domains is that they will show up in the local SERPs for those countries. Your sub-domains wouldn't be recognized in that way by any of the SEs. You could certainly use standard SEO techniques and localize sites on these domains.

One way that you could get some value from each of these domains would be to host each in its respective country. Then the SEs could tell that you were targeting that market.
