Question: does a hyphen between words in my url affect how SE see me?
Would the url #Example.com get better SE listings then #-Example.com?
This is all assuming both sites have identical SEO strategies and only differ in hyphen.
Thanks
Richard

Example.com will get ranked higher than 1-example.com
Probably, however this is only theoretical since one of them would suffer in Google owing to its duplication penalty.
The older site or the one with more content should rank better...note should!
Now having said that I have a problem with one specific 10+ year old site that Yahoo! does not like. I worked out the reason why and I resolved it for Yahoo! by creating a couple of identical sites presented in a different way.
